Premier Equine Double Jointed Pelham with Copper Lozenge Bit

The double-jointed Pelham with a copper lozenge offers a gentler action in the mouth compared to some other Pelhams, as it evenly distributes pressure across the tongue and bars while reducing the nutcracker action of a single-jointed bit. The copper material warms and encourages the horse to salivate and accept the bit. Additionally, the double-jointed mouthpiece can influence the action of the curb and reduce direct pressure by focusing more on the bars of the mouth. The small ring above the curb is intended for a lip strap, which is not essential but is considered correct for showing and helps keep the curb chain flat. Pelhams are well-suited for stronger horses that may benefit from the activation of the curb rein, applying pressure to the bars of the mouth, chin, and poll to encourage correct head carriage.
