Premier Equine Akoni Original Turnout Rug 0g

Premier Equine Akoni Original Turnout Rug 0g

The Premier Equine Akoni Original Turnout Rug 0g is a lightweight, waterproof turnout rug for protecting your horse from wet and changeable weather without adding insulating fill. The 600D diamond triple-weave polyester outer has a waterproof and breathable membrane with a 10,000mm waterproof rating and 10,000g/m²/24h breathability rating. A Teflon coating helps resist stains and moisture, making it practical for everyday turnout.

The Akoni has a no-neck design with no neck cover attachments, making it a useful option for horses that prefer a more open neckline. The cut sits 2–4 inches in front of the wither, while the extra-high elasticated shoulder gusset allows greater freedom of movement through the shoulder. Reflective strips at the front and rear are useful when checking horses in low light, while the antibacterial and anti-static lining helps keep the rug comfortable against the coat.

With liner attachments, the 0g Akoni can also be layered with a compatible liner when additional warmth is needed. It has stainless steel chest clips and surcingle bars, plus a clip-on PVC-coated tail strap. The rug is self-righting and comes with adjustable clip-on leg straps for those who prefer to use them.
