The 16mm mouthpiece is crafted from sweet iron and copper, designed to promote salivation and encourage a softer mouth. Sweet iron naturally oxidises, producing a sweet taste that supports mouthing, while copper discourages horses from leaning or taking hold. Sized for correct proportion, 5" and smaller bits come with shorter cheekpieces for a more balanced fit. Finished with durable stainless steel cheeks that are rust-resistant and easy to clean.
