The Premier Equine Buster 400g Turnout Rug is a heavyweight turnout rug designed to provide substantial warmth and reliable protection in cold, wet weather. Made from durable 840D ballistic nylon, it features a Teflon-coated outer and a dual-membrane construction that combines a 10,000mm waterproof rating with breathability of 10,000g/m²/24h. The 400g thermo-bonded fill provides insulation, while moisture-wicking technology helps draw moisture away from the horse's coat.

Based on Premier Equine's original Buster design, the rug features a deep cut and a neckline shaped to sit in front of the shoulder, helping reduce pressure around the wither. The extra-high patented elasticated shoulder gusset allows greater freedom of movement in the field, while the self-righting design and low-cross surcingles help keep the rug correctly positioned. The patented Snug-Fit neck cover has an elasticated poll to improve the fit and help reduce wind-chill.

Practical details include reflective strips at the front and rear for improved visibility in low light, stainless steel chest clips and surcingle bars, and waterproof padded tail flaps to help resist wind-lift. Antibacterial and anti-static lining supports comfort against the coat, while liner attachments allow additional layering. Adjustable clip-on leg straps are included, although the rug is designed to stay in place without them.
