Karben Air5 Air Jacket Cartridge

Karben Air5 Air Jacket Cartridge

The Karben Air5 Air Jacket Cartridge is a single-use replacement cylinder built specifically to arm your Karben Air5 safety vest. When a fall pulls the trigger cord free, the system pierces this sealed canister to fill the air cushions in a fraction of a second. Once a cartridge has been deployed, pierced or shows any signs of surface rust from damp yard storage, it must be replaced before you ride again.

Swapping out the old canister at home or between classes is a straightforward job using the allen key supplied with your jacket. After squeezing all the residual air out of the cushions on a flat surface, you simply lock the metal ball back into its seat, unscrew the spent cylinder and thread a fresh one into place. Keeping an unused canister on hand keeps your safety setup operational without needing to wait for deliveries before your next competition or hack.
