Try Before You Buy

Try Before You Buy

Buying new horse kit can feel like a bit of a gamble.

Will those stirrups suit your position? Is that bridle the right fit for your horse? Will the therapy equipment become part of your routine, or end up tucked away in the tack room next to all those "great ideas" we don't talk about?

At Country & Stable, we're riders too. We know that good equestrian products are an investment, and sometimes you need to try them in real life before deciding they're worth it.

That's why we offer Try Before You Buy – giving you the chance to trial selected horse and rider products at home before committing to a brand-new purchase.

How Try Before You Buy Works

  1. Choose an eligible Try Before You Buy product and place your order.
  2. We'll send you a trial item to use for up to 21 days.
  3. Put it through its paces. Use it during everyday rides, busy yard mornings and all the usual horse-life chaos to decide whether it's right for you and your horse.
  4. If it's not for you, simply return it using our free returns label available on the website.
  5. If you love it, return the trial item and we'll arrange for a brand-new product to be sent to you, subject to availability.

At the end of the 21-day trial period, we'll be in touch to find out what you'd like to do next.

What Can I Try?

Our Try Before You Buy collection includes a carefully selected range of equestrian products, including:

We've chosen products that riders often want to experience for themselves before making a bigger investment.

Cleaned, Checked and Ready for the Next Rider

Some trial products will have been used before. Before any item is sent back out, it's thoroughly cleaned and carefully checked by our team.

We also photograph products before dispatch to help maintain the quality of the scheme and give everyone confidence when taking part.

The Important Bits

  • Trial products can be used for up to 21 days.
  • Free returns labels are available via our website.
  • If you decide not to go ahead, you'll receive a full refund minus the £20 restocking fee.
  • Returned items must be sent back in good condition. Reasonable wear from trial use is expected, but products returned damaged or in poor condition may not be eligible for a refund.
  • Replacement products are subject to availability.

If you've got any questions, we're always happy to help. Sometimes you just want another horse person to talk things through before spending the money.
