Shires Universal Sweet Iron with Lozenge Bit
The Universal Bit offers a balanced combination of poll pressure and leverage, creating a mild gag effect that encourages a more responsive response. Featuring a sweet iron mouthpiece with a copper link, it promotes salivation and improves bit acceptance for a more comfortable experience for your horse. The 14mm thick mouthpiece is designed to oxidize, creating a naturally sweet taste that encourages mouthing, while the copper discourages horses from leaning on the contact—ideal for strong or forward-going horses. Stainless steel cheeks provide durability, rust resistance, and easy maintenance. Available in cheek heights of 115mm (4.5", 5") and 130mm (5.5", 6").
Sweet Iron with Lozenge Bit Features:
- Cheek height of 115mm for 4.5" and 5" and 130mm for 5.5" and 6"
- Slight gag effect
- Oxidises for a pleasent taste
- lozenge helps to discourage from leaning on the bit
