The Sweet-Itch X Light Rug is designed to provide reliable protection for horses prone to sweet itch, offering extended coverage and breathable comfort during warmer months. Its extra deep cut helps shield sensitive areas, while the thoughtful fabric combination ensures both protection and airflow.

The upper section is crafted from a strong, solid polyester fabric to create a protective barrier against biting insects and irritation. The lower mesh panels promote excellent air circulation while maintaining effective fly defence, helping to keep your horse cool and comfortable in mild to warm conditions. Anti-UV properties offer added protection from harmful sun exposure.

For enhanced comfort, silk-feel lining across the shoulders, withers and mane helps reduce friction and minimise rubbing. The integrated neck with headpiece provides extended coverage, while shoulder darts allow for improved freedom of movement. A T-bar front fastening with magnetic Snap-lock closure ensures secure and convenient fastening.

Practical features include wrap-around belly protection secured with three surcingles, a protective tail flap, leg straps and a fillet string to keep the rug stable and in place during turnout.
