Who and what is the product for?

This is for my dog, Biscuit a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She's a bit of a princess and isn't fond of the rain or the cold, so I wanted something to keep her warm. Since she's quite fluffy and low to the ground, she tends to pick up a lot of muck in her coat, so I thought this would be the perfect dog coat to shield her from the worst and keep her cosy.

Initial thoughts on the product 

This feels like high-quality craftsmanship and is well-made. I especially appreciate the zipper closure - many of the dog coats I've had in the past used Velcro, which can be tricky to fasten and loses its effectiveness over time. The drawstring around the neck also helps keep the cold out, adding an extra layer of warmth and comfort.

Likes 

I really liked the soft, fleecy fabric. It’s not too thick or stiff, allowing Biscuit to move freely while keeping her warm. As mentioned earlier, the zipper fastening kept the coat secure, and I appreciated that the zipper is on top, making it much easier to zip up, unlike some coats that fasten between the legs which can be a bit fiddly, this design is much more convenient.

Dislikes 

The coat felt a bit loose around Biscuit's back and rear legs. Since all dogs have different shapes and sizes, this may just be specific to her breed. Some dog coats are designed to go over the harness with a small hole to allow the lead to attach, but this one didn’t have that feature, so the harness had to go on over the coat instead.

What size did you receive, how does it fit and was it true to size?

I got the 40cm size. As mentioned earlier, it was the perfect length and fit around her chest, but the rear end felt a bit baggy.

Would you recommend the product?

Yes I would. The features and fabric make this a good all round coat. A useful product to have.

Would you continue to use the product?

Absolutely, this now a staple to Biscuits wardrobe. Most importantly, Biscuit liked it and it’s suitable for the chilly winter weather.

Is the price point fair?

Yes, I think it's very reasonable. You can easily pay much more for other coats that offer fewer features.

Was it comfortable/warm/waterproof – etc?

It kept Biscuit warm, and she seemed comfortable in it. While not waterproof, it would still offer some protection in a light shower if you happened to get caught out.
