Who/what is it for?

Living locally to the Country & Stable office, I really wanted to start biking to work. Not only to save on petrol but also get fit whilst the weather is beginning to improve. My only worry is that I would be cycling on some country roads, and I needed to ensure I was Always Seen. So therefore, having the opportunity to review the WeatherBeeta Reflective Jacket for this purpose was ideal.  

Initial thoughts on the product 

It is very bright perfect for commuting on my bike in both daylight and evening light. I didn’t realise it would subconsciously match my mountain bike but now I look like the real deal. It feels super lightweight, breathable thanks to the mesh interior, as well as warm.

Likes 

The silver stripe pattern breaks up the strong, fluorescent colour and reflects light to make sure I am visible to others around me. The touch tape closures on the wrists are great for the windy or wet days of the year. The black panelling on the sides of this jacket flatters my figure and I feel great when I am wearing it.

Dislikes 

They are very minor dislikes; however, it would make this jacket a 10 out of 10 if it had a hood in case I get caught in the unpredictable British weather. I like hanging my coats and jackets up to keep my home tidy and I noticed this jacket doesn’t include an inside hanging loop.

Would you recommend the product?

At first, I wasn’t sure on the jacket – simply because I don’t wear fluorescent colours. After trying it on and realising how comfortable and well-designed it is, I was a fan. I would highly recommend this jacket to anyone wanting to be seen and safe on the roads or out in fields horse riding.

Would you continue to use the product?

Certainly, whenever I need to be visible, I will be wearing my jacket without a doubt.

Is the price point fair?

It is slightly pricey compared to my usual buys. However, I know it will be long lasting and it is good quality for the price.

Was it comfortable/warm/waterproof – etc?

The breathable aspect is great for while I am doing my activity and working up a sweat. The lightweight jacket can fold up quickly and easily which is perfect for transportation. I am yet to be caught in the rain whilst cycling but it is handy to know this jacket is waterproof.
