Review of Reincoat Pro

Review of the Reincoat Pro;

Tried & tested by our Brand Ambassador Jess @life_on_the_buckle, here's her review of the;Reincoat Pro.

Cost: £179.99

Who/what is the product for?

Me! I intend to use the product throughout autumn and winter. The coat is ideal for particularly wet days due to its brilliant waterproof rating. What’s great about this coat is I can ride in it, complete general yard chores but also take long country walks in too.

Initial Thoughts on the Product:

Initially I was tempted to purchase a similar coat from a popular brand. I finally decided to take the plunge and try a Reincoat (formerly Equicoat). Upon first impression, the coat feels high-quality and durable, with sturdy zips and well-constructed seams. The fleece lining is not only stylish but also incredibly cosy. The fit is generous, and the hood is spacious and roomy, offering great coverage and it even fits over my riding hat!

Likes:

Once I started using it, I truly appreciated how warm and comfortable I felt. It’s 100% waterproof, and even in the worst weather, it’s kept me completely dry. The deep pockets, lined with fleece, are perfect for keeping hands warm on cold days. The oversized fit is ideal for layering underneath, making it an easy go-to coat for riding and yard chores. The popper sides are a great feature, allowing for easy movement when riding - plus, the covered side zips ensure you stay dry in the saddle.

Dislikes:

Honestly, I’m having a hard time finding anything I dislike about this coat. If I had to be really picky, when the coat is unzipped, hay can occasionally stick to the fleece lining, but it comes off easily with a quick shake or brush.

General Feedback

Everyone needs a Reincoat in their life, Equestrian, Country Lover, Sports Mum, School Runs – this coat has you covered.

What size did you receive, how does it fit and was it true to size?

While the Reincoat size guide recommended a medium, I personally felt the small was a better for me due to its oversized fit. It is a robe style waterproof coat so expect it to feel bigger than a fitted or everyday winter coat. This is a practical design, not a flattering one and great if you want to layer up underneath it. Should you wish to have a more fitted look the coat has an adjustable pull in cord.

Would you recommend the product?

I really can't recommend this coat enough! If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably noticed I post about it almost weekly. I wear it constantly; it’s truly a fantastic piece. In my opinion, it’s a winter essential for equestrians, and definitely my go-to coat whenever I’m heading out to the horses.

Will you continue to use the product?

100%, I find it to be a reliable addition to my wardrobe. Next purchase will be the Reincoat Lite which is better suited to warmer weather.

Is the price point fair?

Yes, absolutely - especially given the quality and design. It’s comparable to other high-end robe jackets on the market, but in my opinion, it’s superior. Full transparency: this was gifted to me, but I can honestly say that if I had to buy it, I’d consider it a worthwhile investment. I truly believe it will stand the test of time.

Was it comfortable/warm/waterproof – etc?

The coat is incredibly comfortable and provides excellent warmth, making it perfect for colder weather. It’s fully waterproof and super easy to clean - just chuck it in the washing machine, and it comes out looking like new!
