Tried & tested by our Acting Marketing Manager Rachael, here’s her review of the Ariat Footwear Care Products.

Who/what is it for?

These are for me to use on a variety of leather type products. I try to ensure I look after all my leather products to help keep them in their best condition. These products were tested on my Ariat Grasmere boots, I had recently been for a muddy walk in them. I also wanted to give the products a further test on some non Ariat products which were a pair of boots, a handbag and a belt.

Initial thoughts on the product

I really love how these footwear care products have been designed with our environment in mind. The containers are made from recyclable aluminium and are free from environmentally damaging chemicals.

Likes 

My favourite product is the cleaner it really lifted the mud off the boots without hardly any effort. It was also good at removing marks on the other products too. The conditioner left the boots with a nice shine without requiring any other product. It also did not leave a sticky residue or build up which some cream conditioners can do. Personally, I would use a waterproofer/ dubbin afterwards to offer extra protection.

Dislikes 

The conditioner is hard to use accurately, this can lead it to go on areas you may not wish to condition. The Grasmere boots have suede parts, and the product is not suitable for this material, so you have to be careful. After spraying, the product drips down the trigger clip of the bottle therefore, I would recommend putting newspaper down or doing outside.

Would you recommend the product? 

Yes, I have used a lot of footwear care products and these now are some of my favourite. In the range there is also a waterproofer and polish which you add to these products to make a great footwear set. 

Would you continue to use the product? 

100%, I like to invest in good footwear and I believe if you look after them they will last. The cleaner will definitely be something I will be adding into my footwear care routine.

Is the price point fair? 

Yes, this is a middle range price point and well worth the money especially as this has been developed with sustainability in mind.
