Meet Ivy: Our New Brand Ambassador
A Q&A on Family Life & Pony Adventures
We’re thrilled to introduce Ivy, our new Country & Stable Brand Ambassador. At just seven years old, Ivy already lives and breathes the equestrian lifestyle. From early mornings at the yard to grooming sessions, beach rides and big showing dreams. Alongside her ponies Patch, Gwen and Puzzle, little sister Dixie and mum Laura, Ivy’s journey gives insight into what it’s like growing up with horses.
Getting to Know Ivy: A Young Rider’s Story

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got into horse riding?
My name is Ivy and I’m 7 years old. I have lots of hobbies like swimming, dancing and kickboxing but my favourite hobby is horse riding. I started riding when I was 1 year old. My granny has always had horses and I used to go down to the stables with her and sit in my pram or try to help. I loved it from being that little. My mummy then decided to see if I would like riding and I did so she bought me a miniature Shetland called Patch and I’ve been riding ever since.
Who are your ponies and what are their personalities like?
My ponies are Patch, Gwen and Puzzle. Patch is very cheeky and mischievous. Gwen is independent, kind, very strong and amazing with children. Puzzle is confident, super sweet and very polite.
What do you love most about riding and spending time on the yard?
I like spending time with the ponies, feeding them, doing in-hand work and grooming or bathing them. I love learning how to get better at my riding and I actually like falling off.
What’s your favourite activity with your pony?
My favourite activity is showing but I also love a beach ride.
Testing Products for Ponies & Kids
What kind of products do you look forward to trying as a Country & Stable Brand Ambassador?
Comfy riding clothes, maybe some matchy-matchy and things to help Puzzle look good and feel happy and comfortable.
Are there any pony care items Puzzle absolutely can’t live without?
His Equilibrium massage pad, detangle spray and my goat brush.
What is your favourite piece of horse riding clothing?
My Aubrion thermal set especially designed for equestrian kids.
Say Hello to Dixie: Ivy’s Little Sister

Tell us a bit about your sister and how she likes to be involved at the yard.
Dixie loves brushing the ponies and tickling their noses.
What riding or pony activities does Dixie enjoy most?
Dixie loves to sit on the ponies and do pat pat.
What toddler pony gear does Dixie wear?
Dixie looks so cute in jodhpurs and anything she can get messy in but still stay warm. She loves wellies and riding boots and usually cries when she has to take them off.
A Mum’s Perspective: Meet Laura, Super Horsey Mum

How did Ivy’s riding journey begin?
My mum, Ivy’s granny, bought a pair of pink jodhpurs when we found out I was pregnant with a little girl. Ivy got her first pony at age one, started riding properly at two and honestly we’ve never looked back.
What do you look for when choosing equestrian clothing and equipment for children?
Safety is the priority followed by comfort and durability. Ivy lives in her riding clothes and barely wears anything else so buying clothing that lasts is really important.
The question we all really want the answer to: how do you juggle two ponies and two kids?
The support around me. My husband and mum are amazing at helping keep things ticking along. It definitely isn’t all down to me. Prioritising jobs, writing lists and saving stressful tasks for when Dixie is asleep really helps. And of course lots of cups of tea and maybe a chocolate snack halfway through the day.
Riding Gear for Kids: Real-Life Use
What riding clothes does Ivy wear most often for riding lessons and pony days?
Riding tights are a must. Comfy boots and socks too as she does not stop.
How do you choose the right riding hat, boots and body protector for a child?
I always follow Ivy’s lead and choose comfort over anything else. I’ve learned that what looks good isn’t always what feels good and a comfy child is a happy child.
What riding hats do you use for the kids?
We’ve always gone for kids Charles Owen hats and skull caps so they can enjoy matchy-matchy. Ivy also has a Charles Owen showing hat.
What makes riding gear comfortable for children who spend long days at the yard?
Comfy materials, warmth and items they can layer up with in winter. Nothing restrictive and nothing that doesn’t fit properly.
Everyday Riding Life & Practical Advice
What does a typical day look like for your family?
On school days my mum comes to feed, hay and turn out at around 5-6am. Rhys goes to work and I get the children up and ready for the day. After lunch it’s time to muck out and do yard jobs before school runs or nap time. Ivy rides a couple of evenings a week either hacking or at pony club and weekends are for lessons, arena hires and hopefully some shows and competitions soon. Our home is definitely the family hub. It’s always busy.
What advice would you give to parents buying equestrian gear for children for the first time?
Do your research, find items that fit well and pass safety checks and make sure your child is comfortable.
Looking Ahead
What are Ivy’s riding goals for the future?
Ivy would like to show Puzzle this year and maybe compete at some county-level shows but most importantly spend the year bonding and having fun.
What are you most excited about as a family working together on this journey?
Watching the children thrive from having wonderful experiences and enjoying it together.
What can followers expect to see from Ivy as a brand ambassador?
Real, authentic content showing the ups and downs of learning to ride and owning ponies plus a whole lot of cuteness.
