Premier Equine Full Cheek Waterford Bit

The full cheek design is beneficial for green or young horses as it aids in steering. The shanks on the bit provide a positive action against the horse's cheeks when turning is requested, and the full cheek design prevents the bit from being dragged through the horse’s mouth. The Waterford mouthpiece, featuring a series of ball-shaped links, offers complete mobility in all directions. This feature is particularly effective in addressing issues such as leaning, grasping the bit, and jaw setting. When the horse attempts to take hold of the bit, the mouthpiece collapses, leaving the horse with nothing rigid to cling to. Paired with full cheeks, this bit is a suitable option for a stronger horse that still requires guidance with steering. For optimal effectiveness, it should be worn 1/4" - 1/2" wider than standard.
