Review of the Kids Hunter Wellington Boots

Hunter Boots Kids First Classic Wellington Boots

Cost £39.95

Tried & tested by our Product Manager Jess, here's her review of the Kids Hunter Wellington Boots.

Who/what is it for?

These children’s Wellington boots are for 3-year-old son. I have been on the hunt for the perfect pair of quality wellies for him for a while, as he practically lives in them. Whether he’s out on his digger, playing in his sand pit or splashing in muddy puddles our go to footwear is always wellies.

Initial thoughts on the product

Fit and comfort are the utmost importance for me, and these wellies fit brilliantly. I’ve had my fair share of struggles finding wellies that fit my son’s calf comfortably while being the right length. These wellies have proven to be a game changer in this regard. The calf fit is perfect, even with chunky trousers on! As an added bonus they look smart too, even covered in mud!

Likes

Hunter Boots offer a range of options in their kids’ collection. I required a UK size 7 for him and looked at both the First Classic and Little Kids Original as these both had a size 7 option. I picked the First Classic as other ones were longer in length and were slimmer in the calf. By selecting the lower leg design has allowed him full range of movement. I love the fact that he can get these wellies on and off on his own (not always on the right feet!) and they are always in his hand when I say, “Go get your shoes (wellies) on.”

Dislikes

I have no dislikes for these wellies so far other than the fact he will grow out of them!

Would you recommend the product?

Yes, I would highly recommend these wellies. His boots take quite a beating and these wellies have been a super robust and have really stood up to what they have been put through.

Would you continue to use the product?

Definitely – I don’t get much of a say when it comes to CJ wearing these wellies

Is the price point fair?

Yes, as a mid-range priced welly they are good value and you are paying for good quality.

Was it comfortable/warm/waterproof – etc?

CJ has had these boots for a few months now and has really put them to the test! Especially when he is using his feet as breaks on his digger! They are proving to be remarkably durable, making them the perfect choice for active kids.
