Who/what is it for?
Myself as I needed a waterproof yard boot for stable duties, dog walking, and course walking this competition season.
Initial thoughts on the product
I absolutely love the look of these boots! The light tan colour and rustic, worn-looking leather give them a unique charm. The lace-up design, while sometimes a bit tedious, ensures a perfect fit for long walks, making these boots incredibly comfortable. They have the appearance of walking boots but with an equestrian feel. Perfect for both style and function!
Likes
- Lace up snug fit
- Look better the more they are worn and become even more rustic
- Comfortable enough to wear all day with no problem at all. At first could feel the end of my toe as I’m in-between sizes, but now comfortable to wear as the leather has become more supple.
Dislikes
- As they are lace up boots, they’re not quick to get on and off when I’m in and out of the campervan at stay away shows.
- They’re so nice that my daughter keeps pinching them!
- Not as comfortable footbed as Ariat boots I’ve had in the past, but have no complaints and certainly more comfortable than my current walking boots.
Would you recommend the product?
Yes, have already recommended these short yard boots to my equestrian friends. Due to these being a unisex short riding boot I had to size down. Normally I am a UK size 5 with these I required a UK size 4.
Would you continue to use the product?
Yes, as they are the ideal yard and riding boots!
Is the price point fair?
Yes, great value cheaper price point than my normal go to which is an Ariat yard boot.
Final thoughts
These boots are incredibly comfortable and require very little break-in time. I haven’t used them during winter yet, but I expect they will be warm because they are made of leather. I have thoroughly tested their waterproofing during our wet summer, and I couldn’t be happier—they are completely waterproof!
