Premier Equine Sweet Iron Tom Thumb with Brass Alloy Lozenge Bit

The tom thumb bit combines features of an American gag and an elevator bit, providing enhanced precision and control. Popular in show jumping and cross country, it offers a lifting effect in front, helping the rider sit the horse back on its hocks for tighter turns and more efficient jumping. This uplifting action, along with poll pressure, can discourage horses from leaning on the bit. It can be used with one rein on either the snaffle ring or the lower ring, or for increased precision, with two reins. Additionally, the blue sweet iron material easily oxidises, creating a warming sensation and a sweet taste in the horse's mouth, aiding in bit acceptance.
