For Long Riding Boots:

1. Wear the breeches or tights and socks you are most likely to wear with your boots. For foot size, you can use the same size you use for your regular, comfortable shoes.
2. Sit in a chair with your feet flat on the floor and your knees at a right angle. Consider getting help from a friend for convenience.
3. For tall boot width, measure the widest part of your calf with a cloth or flexible measuring tape. Be sure to check both calves and, if different, use the larger of the two measurements. Do not add increments to the measurement as boots tend to stretch over time.
4. For boot height, measure from the bottom of your heel, straight up to the back of your knee. This will be the maximum height for your boot; anything less is a matter of personal preference. Be sure to check both calves and, if different, use the smaller of the two measurements. If choosing Spanish boots (with a curved top on the outside of the leg), the measurement will represent the lower edge of the top; the curved portion will vary and not affect the fit.

For Wellington Boots:

1. When taking measurements, wear the thickest socks you are likely to wear with your Wellies.
2. Your boot size will likely be larger than your usual shoe size. To determine the proper boot size, measure your foot standing up straight (since your foot will spread with your weight). We recommend asking someone to help.
3. Measure the length of your foot from the back of the heel to the tip of your big toe.
4. Locate the size on the chart below and order one size larger.
