Dublin Ladies Performance Thermal Active TightsWho/what is it for?

As occasional rider rather than an everyday rider, I wanted something which was budget friendly, and I could use in the slightly cooler weather. I needed a second pair of riding tights as the only other riding tights I own are more suitable for summer riding.

Initial thoughts on the product

I really liked how thick and stretchy the fabric was when I first put them on. I like good support from my riding clothing and the instant I put them on they smoothed areas out and held everything in the right place.

Likes

The best thing I found about these riding tights was how good the grip on the full seat is. Throughout my whole ride I felt secure and stable in the saddle but still with the flexibility to move about and not be stuck in the saddle. The fleece lining is so soft and thick which is very comfortable, but without bulk so allowed for easy movement.

The phone pocket is also extremely useful; it is very deep which was reassuring, I wasn’t worried my phone would fall out. (I believe the phone pocket size would fit all models of phones) On the day I rode it was a bit windy, the riding tights really performed well against the elements as I couldn’t feel any chill on my legs.

Dislikes

It was difficult to find a dislike when riding, however I did try these out as a gardening legging and although they kept me warm, with all the getting up and down and bending, I did find that they would gradually fall down resulting in me consistently pulling them up. This maybe an issue if you were doing some yard chores but only if you were bending a lot, as general walking around and grooming they were fine.

Would you recommend the product?

For riding 100%, for other activities maybe not.

Would you continue to use the product?

Yes, I have ridden in them a few times now and they are super comfy.

Is the price point fair?

For a thermal product these are extremely good value.

Was it comfortable/warm/waterproof – etc?

They were warm but I would need to test on a mid-winter day to find out their full thermal capability, but my instinct tells me they would be ideal.
